Surgical Care

surgical Procedure

Our hospital is well-equipped to perform most minor and major surgical procedures from spays and neuters to more complicated soft tissue and emergency surgeries. Prior to surgery, each patient receives a thorough physical examination and blood and urine tests are performed to identify any existing medical conditions that might endanger your pet's health. During surgery, our veterinarians use sophisticated monitoring systems to keep track of your pet's body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate. ECG and pulse/oxygen monitors are also used.

We carefully administer an anesthetic protocol that is tailored to your pet's individual needs. Pain management is an important part of our pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative anesthetic and medical protocol. We urge you to discuss operative pain management options with our veterinarians.
